Up North: Palm Beach, Sydney

Topshop dress, vintage cover-up, D&G glasses, Casio gold watch, Shoebox flats
Picturesque Palm Beach on the Northern peninsular tip of Sydney’s ever growing metropolis embodies many of the classic conceptions of Australia. Rolling waves,  an active surfer culture and a serene, vacation-feel that the Inner-City lacks. With nearby Avalon, Dee Why and the gorgeous twin sided beaches leading to Barrenjoey, it’s like living in your holiday house permanently.

We travelled to Palm Beach to take Mark’s friend, Jason home, after his trip to Europe. After watching the waves roll in on Avalon Beach, we headed to the famous Boathouse for Lunch. The journey to Palm Beach is quite the road trip and we indulged in grilled local snapper, quinoa salads, home-cut chips, with homemade ketchup and a burger to match.

Palm Beach is also the filming location for one of Australia’s oldest soap operas, Home and Away and we were lucky enough to spy them filming near the Boathouse.

Snapper and Quinoa; tasty chips and burger

  Bush fires really hurt. Sad.

Thank you so much for these photos, Hun!
I kept on asking Mark the whole time if I could take photos of him but he said he wanted to catch the wind as it danced with the lightness of my sheer garments. Ok. Sweet.
It was a good 1-2 hour drive up north.
I'd love to do it again. Thank you, Mark and Jason!
